The Lower Mainland Independent Secondary Schools Athletic Association (LMISSAA) is an association of Vancouver based independent schools that form athletic leagues for high school competitive sport. The LMISSAA is a recognized athletic association under the umbrella of BC School Sports. LMISSAA member schools are committed to playing a positive role in supporting student-athletes in their personal, educational and athletic development. LMISSAA leagues, games, and meets are organized by school volunteers (Athletic Directors and coaches) who give their time to provide opportunities and experiences that come from healthy competition and participation in school sport.

The LMISSAA operates leagues for member schools in the following sports:

Fall Season: X-Country, Girls Volleyball, Boys Soccer, Girls Field Hockey
Members schools have teams in the following sports bu there is no LMISSAA league schedule for: Swimming, Football, Boys Volleyball
Winter Season: Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball
Members schools have teams in the following sports but there is no LMISSAA league schedule for: Swimming, Rugby
Spring Season: Track & Field, Girls Soccer, Badminton, Tennis, Ultimate, Golf
Members schools have teams in the following sports but there is no LMISSAA league schedule for: Rugby

The purpose of our association includes:
to plan, supervise, and administer the inter-school athletic activities of LMISSAA member schools
to oversee and apply rules and regulations governing the programs of all participants in the LMISSAA 
to encourage, promote and support our member schools participation in organized athletics
to provide quality athletic opportunities for our student athletes and member school communities.
to promote and maintain integrity and sportsmanship among all member school participants
